Got Stump is about more than just dragging a grinder into your yard.

We're about expertise, precision, and years of experience (not just book-learnin'). For us, doing it right means having the right equipment to get the job done properly the first time, and standing by our work.

The Right Equipment

Got Stump's powerful track-mounted grinder, of which there are only a small handful in Western Canada, can grind out even the most stubborn stump. We also have a versatile push-behind that lets us grind as deep as one of Santa's elves is tall (2 feet) in the most hard to reach places. Having both grinders with us all the time means we can tackle any stump, anywhere. If we can't get the job done, no one can.

Ten years in business and over 30 years of combined experience means we are feeling old have the expertise to get the job done right. The last thing you want are chips and rocks damaging your windows or property, so why trust your stump grinding to anyone else?

A Complete Stump Removal Experience

One of the key markers of a good grind is how deep it goes. Sure, grinding a stump down 4" means you'll be able to cover it up, but what happens if you ever want to replant, landscape or turn your yard into a pet cemetery? You've still got an unmovable stump buried somewhere in your yard, and you're going to wind up paying a second time. With Got Stump you never have to worry about it again, and it won't cost you anything extra to get the job done right the first time. See below for more information about replanting.

Caliper Grind vs. Standard Grind

We do two types of grinding if a new tree is to be planted in place of the stump.

  • Standard grinding (what we do on every job) allows for a new potted tree to be planted. These trees weigh about 50 lbs, are sold in a 5 gallon pot or less and cost anywhere from $50 – $150.
  • Caliper grinding has us grinding down to 2 feet and three feet in diameter (in the shape of a cone). This allows for a caliper-sized tree to be replanted. These trees weigh approximately 750 lbs, have a 2-3 inch trunk diameter, are more mature and typically cost $350 or more to purchase. An additional fee of $100/stump is added to every caliper grind requested.
